The Introduction to Philosophy open textbook series is a set of nine open textbooks for introduction to philosophy courses, focused on topics such as philosophy of mind, ethics, epistemology, and more. One book has been published (_Philosophy of Mind_), and the Ethics book should be published very soon as well. You can view the [complete project description](https://forum.rebus.community/t/project-summary/618) for more information.

We are seeking volunteers for the following roles:

- Chapter authors for the philosophy of science book (see [chapter outline](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BO9VuoZet3-aOTVk8Bbmc_gDjXUFudF9mOSboOmjvkM/edit?usp=sharing) and the [Public Table of Contents for the series](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JNY7V24nuRqr0uIdwDFAzIab5jOg-ioPlsG_Gp-VxmU/edit?usp=sharing) for the chapters that are still in need of authors. We are looking for people with a PhD in philosophy (or who are in a PhD program) and who, ideally, have teaching experience at the introductory level.

- Peer reviewers will be needed for the Epistemology book within the next few months. See the [original chapter outline](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tDWV1ktUQwfL0YPpJLp1Ggz_4WgPIjrtbtWVFnFBN58/edit?usp=sharing) and also the [Public Table of Contents for the series](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JNY7V24nuRqr0uIdwDFAzIab5jOg-ioPlsG_Gp-VxmU/edit?usp=sharing) for the chapters that are being written.

- Copy editors who could copy edit one or more books.

- Volunteers to help input the text from google docs into Pressbooks (doesn’t require any technical skills other than a willingness to learn a bit about Pressbooks!).

If you would be willing to help in one of these ways, please let us know on our [Volunteer Sign Up thread](https://forum.rebus.community/t/volunteer-sign-up/622) for the project!
