Our guests will share details about working within their campus, system, state, and regional contexts to develop OER policy. This month’s session will discuss experiences developing OER publishing policy, rolling out institutional policy via training, developing institutional goals to support open pedagogy, pushing back against the collection and use of personal data, and more.

Thanks to everyone who attended this session! :)

The recording for Office Hours: OER Policy Redux is now available on Youtube. We had such a productive discussion, touching on the effects of working with legislators and students, how to introduce OER policy at an institutional level, and the efficacy of saying, “this is how to create and use OER,” rather than arguing for or against OER in principle.

Personally, I was struck by the stories shared about trying to implement OER policy at your institutions–the struggles, the successes, the aha-moments, and the unique tactics. Please share more below.

And thanks again to @billy-meinke -Lau, Jessica, and Michelle, as well as @zoe and @apurva from Rebus and @klaurits and Mark from the Open Textbook Network.
