I earned B.A. in Psychology from Whittier College in 1994 and my M.A. in Philosophy at California State University, Long Beach in 2013. I have taught Critical Thinking at Long Beach City College for 3 years and various subjects such as AP Macroeconomics, AP US Government, and AP Psychology at Whittier High School over the past 20 years. My interests include philosophy (epistemology and in particular issues relating to epistemic closure) and chess (experienced local tournament director). I was born in Boston, but raised mostly in the Pacific (Hawaii and Tonga). I am Hawaiian-Chinese on my mother’s side and English-Irish on my father’s side.
