Description:
This project is based on Kaja Lipnik Vehovar’s project “
Preserving the Architectural Heritage of 20th Century and Sustainable Urban Development
.” There has been good progress with this project, it has the potential for much more. Specifically, we would like assistance with the goals of:
Editing of the English language version of the work
Finishing the website
Creating a separate, downloadable file of the project (a “book”)
Connecting the work to a broader international architectural community through social media promotion
Promoting the work in universities colleges that use OER resource guides
As you may know, there are not a lot of openly licensed resources in the field of architecture and urban planning, and I believe this is a significant contribution to that field. The issues and processes described in this work, though focused on Slovenia, can be applied to many urban areas around the world.
Short Description:
This project was created to support the work and ideas in Kaja Lipnik Vehovar’s “Preserving the Residential Heritage of the 20th Century and Sustainable Development,” a UNESCO Open Education for a Better World project. The goal of the project is to educate others in the sustainable preservation of modernist architecture.
