Call for Participation
Amanda Taintor, Child Development Instructor at Reedley College in Central California is seeking leadership participation in the creation of an Early Childhood Education OER text addressing the content of Health, Safety and Nutrition for Young Children. This open textbook is a comprehensive practical text covering best practices in health, safety and nutrition and the complex interrelationships between these three needs of young children.
About the Book
This text will focus on laws, regulations, standards, policies, procedures, and best practices related to health, safety, and nutrition in early childhood settings. Including prevention strategies, nutrition, and meal planning for various ages and planning educational experiences integrated into daily routines designed to teach children positive health, safety, and nutrition habits.
We are seeking faculty and/or others actively working in the field of Early Childhood Education qualified, willing and interested in leading a team of authors for this open text.
