Data Feminism and Pocket Infrastructures

Hi all,

We, at the local data activism community, used some couple of weekends to port the excellent Data Feminism book to our pocket infrastructures, accepting the authors invitation to enable a more global (South/North) dialogue on this matter. We took an unusual approach and instead of making a comment on contents, we made a meta-comment on the infrastructures which make such publications possible, showing how we use other infrastructures for similar purposes, deployed taking into account the conditions on the Global South (so we opt by simple and self contained “pocket infrastructures”).

I have added a teaser below and you can have full details at [1].

Cheers,

@offray.luna Thanks for sharing the teaser, Offray! Really cool to see not only the book contents but also the process, with meeting notes and memories. Looking forward to seeing the dialogue continue. Kudos to you and the others involved so far!

Great suggestion! This might have been a default setting of the forum software, but we’ll look into changing it. Thanks!
