How and where would it be best for me to give credit for that image? Or would it be better to avoid bringing an image into the cover design because it’s more challenging to include credit?
Hi Mary, you can definitely work with an existing image and provide credit. With the Rebus Guide cover, we not only include attributions in the cover itself (see the book’s full cover with image credits) but also in the media metadata on Pressbooks.
You can also include some of this information on the landing page of your resource or inside the book itself, as part of the front-matter in the Copyright or Acknowledgements sections. For instance, see how the Introduction to Philosophy team does this with their Logic book.
