OER Languages Virtual Event and CFP

The Open Language Resource Center (OLRC) and the Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (COERLL) are seeking proposals for a joint online conference to be held on Saturday, March 6th, 2021. We invite faculty, graduate students and academic staff to participate in this new conference, which will have two major streams of inquiry related to Open Educational Resources (OER) for foreign languages:

  • 15-minute lightning presentations showcasing large-scale OER projects in foreign languages to include complete curricula in downloadable and web-based formats;
  • 30-minute explorations of topics related to OER production and adoption. Topics might include student- and faculty-led campus initiatives, the integration of OER production into teacher training, obstacles to OER adoption, evaluation of OER for promotion/tenure, publishing platforms and issues of accessibility.

Proposals can be submitted online.

The deadline for proposal submission is Friday, January 15th, 2021.

Notification of acceptance will be provided by Friday, January 29th, 2021.
