Hi everyone,
It was great seeing you on Friday. It was so impressive to hear how your projects are shaping up and I’m so excited to see where they are headed.
A few things that came up in the meetings that I thought might be useful for everyone:
- Attribution - when you are remixing or adapting Creative Commons licensed work, you use an attribution statement rather than a citation. Creative Commons provides best practices on their wiki. https://wiki.creativecommons.org/wiki/best_practices_for_attribution. It’s title, author, source, and license. Here’s a sample attribution: “Creative Commons 10th Birthday Celebration San Francisco” by Timothy Vollmer is licensed under CC BY 4.0
- Call for Proposals for chapter authors - for those of you thinking about involving others in the writing of the textbook, here’s a sample Call for Proposals. You can find others by searching the Rebus forum for Call for Proposals. Keep in mind what we discussed during Session 4: Growing and Managing Teams
For our next meeting, we will need to move the date. I’m hoping as many as possible can make it on 4/14/23 at 10am. I’m going to move the calendar invitation so fingers crossed it goes through. If there’s something specific you want to discuss or get help with for the next session, please post here or message me to let me know.
Thanks!
Stacy
