Research Methods in Psychology, 4th Edition is a peer-reviewed , free and open, comprehensive textbook for Research Methods classes. The new edition builds on three prior editions and is the result of a year-long peer review and revision process.

The fourth edition was updated and revised collaboratively by Rajiv S. Jhangiani, @thatpsychprof (Kwantlen Polytechnic University), Carrie Cuttler, @CarrieCuttler (Washington State University), & Dana C. Leighton, @dana_leighton (Texas A&M University-Texarkana). Each of us co-authored previous editions of this textbook. This edition updates or revises nearly every chapter, and now includes a comprehensive Glossary and Reference section.
The textbook is supplemented by instructor resources , including lecture slides , a student lab guide , and exam questions , produced and contributed by faculty at Kennesaw State University, Georgia Southwestern State University, Columbia College, and the University of British Columbia-Okanagan. We welcome additional contributions and can make your material available to the community.
