@june24-cohort, I was meeting with Spencer from Rebus yesterday, and he pointed out that according to our syllabus, our final (group) meeting was originally scheduled for May (this would be Thursday, May 8). I think I communicated that our May meeting would be 1:1 check ins, and we would have our final “show and tell” cohort meeting the second Thursday of June (6/12).
I DEFINITELY do not want to cause anyone additional stress at this point in the semester, and my understanding is that with your grant, you still have until May 31 to complete your work (remember that what you “complete” depends on your own definition of what this looks like to you–you don’t have to have a perfect resource).
But if it would cause you all less stress, we can plan to make our May 8 meeting our final one, coming together to celebrate your hard work. If you’re prefer 1:1s as originally scheduled, with our all cohort meeting in June, I am great with that plan as well.
Can you please respond either by email or to this forum post and let me know your preference? I know this is an incredibly busy time of the semester for all of us, but if this would take some pressure off of you (to complete your cohort work and the Rebus program in May), I’m happy to help.
Well, actually, I’m a little sad. You’ve been an amazing group to work with, and I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing your projects take shape.
Thank you for your concern and support throughout this process. I really enjoyed our time together. I can meet on the 8th but I won’t be able to show my final project completion, but I can show what I have at that point. I am planning to get more done and finish up after commencement.

I would much rather meet on June 12 than on May 8. We have other things on the calendar that would make it harder to have a longer meeting on May 8. Also, I will feel more celebratory when we have something further along to show. We have big plans to get things more finalized in the back half of May.
